In fact, Life Is Beautiful has grown just about every year since its launch. In 2018, the festival was granted an increase of 22% to 55,000 (and from the box office report, managed to squeeze in a few more). The 2019 edition will max out at a 175,000, 3-day capacity, according to the lineup announcement.
Life Is Beautiful, with promotion partner Another Planet Entertainment, has always had at its heart the aim of helping to transform downtown Las Vegas, which for a time languished in the shadow of the glitzier, shinier and newer Las Vegas Strip a few miles south.
Since its inception, Life Is Beautiful has contributed more than $350 million in economic impacts and cultural capital to Sin City.
Taking place across about 18 city blocks, the festival is “driven by its core mission to create a holistic experience which aids in positive community transformation and individual empowerment by collectivizing and inspiring through shared experience driven by art and culture.”
Last year’s edition featured The Weeknd, Arcade Fire and Florence + The Machine.
