The Lonely Island Books First Multi-City Tour

Party over here! Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone are all set to hit the road in June for The Lonely Island’s first multi-city tour. 

The award-winning comedy trio are the guys behind the hilarious and wildly popular SNL Digital Short series. The Lonely Island’s RIAA certified hits include the 2X Platinum single “I’m On A Boat,” the Platinum singles “Jizz In My Pants” and “I Just Had Sex” and Gold single “Like A Boss.” The group co-wrote “Everything Is Awesome,” the theme song to 2014’s “The Lego Movie,” which was nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards and a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Their accolades also include Grammy nominations for the single “I’m On A Boat” and the album Turtleneck & Chain. 

The Lonely Islands’ latest work includes teaming up with Beck and Robyn for the song “Super Cool,” featured in the film “The Lego Movie 2.” 

Last year Lonely Island wowed fans and critics during its June 1 set at Clusterfest at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. 

SF Weekly praised the trio for blending “comedic genius, music and gimmicks.” 

“The Lonely Island packed gloriously dumb jokes into a live concert that had its audience roaring with laughter, cheering to projections like Samberg and Taccone’s exaggerated O-faces during ‘Jizz in My Pants,’ and dancing all at the same time,” SF Weekly’s Ida Mojadad writes. 

This summer’s excursion kicks off with a previously confirmed appearance at Bonnaroo June 15. 

Ticketmaster Verified Fan registration is open now and the Verified Fan presale begins Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. local time. The general public onsale starts March 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
