AMF Presents Names Justin Marine Director Of Business Development
LiveStyle, Inc., has announced that Justin Marine will head efforts to develop its AMF Presents arm.
Marine comes by way of Seattle, where he worked for three years as a talent buyer and marketing manager at USC Events, and Scottsdale, Ariz., where he was a talent buyer at Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations. He also used to run the music blog Remix-Nation.
The formal announcement of Marine’s appointment came Jan. 22 via LiveStyle President of North America Gary Richards, who said: “With Justin’s experience and real-world knowledge of the scene, he’s sure to be an exceptional addition to the AMF team. We look forward to working with him to expand the brand and events on the West Coast and across the nation.”
Marine will manage and expand the AMF Presents brand out of LiveStyle’s Beverly Hills office. AMF currently puts on LiveStyle’s All My Friends festival and the Friendship cruise. Those events are both relatively new, as LiveStyle itself was born out of the ashes of SFX in 2016, but both have enjoyed considerable support thanks to the pull of Richards (aka DJ Destructo), who previously founded HARD Events and helped build the electronic dance music scene in North America.
Richards recently spoke to Pollstar about the maiden voyageof the Friendship cruise, stating: “What carried over [to Friendship] were the people that were tightest throughout the years, and that’s what made it super special … This is the first time, in my entire career, we’ve had zero damage to the ship. The people were so respectful, the staff of the cruise ship was blown away. They couldn’t believe how amazing the Friendship family was.”
“I always had these ideas (for cruise-specific events) and they were always shut down. But now it all came to fruition and I think the fans really appreciated it.”
AMF presents also puts on solo shows, including Destructo’s “Let’s Be Friends Again” tour featuring Redlight, Bruno Furlan, Flava D, Golf Clap, Anabel Englund, Sirus Hood, J. Worra, Noizu, and Dom Dolla. That trek is set to wrap in Houston March 2. AMF is also putting on “Valentine’s With Will Clarke,” Feb. 14 in Hollywood, Calif.
