StubHub Center Renamed Dignity Health Sports Park
StubHub Center – StubHub Center
AEG has struck a multi-year partnership deal with Dignity Health and will be renaming Carson, Calif.’s StubHub Center, the permanent home of the LA Galaxy and temporary home of the Los Angeles Chargers, in 2019.
With Dignity Health now the official healthcare partner of the LA Galaxy, the stadium will be renamed Dignity Health Sports Park. The health care system will implement a series of health and wellness programs for the Los Angeles community through the LA Galaxy foundation.
“Dignity Health is dedicated to providing excellent care for those in need, and as the new naming rights partner for one of AEG’s marquee facilities, we look forward to working with them to amplify our efforts to make a positive and lasting difference for all our fans,” Dan Beckerman, President and CEO of AEG said. “Sports has the power to bring people together, and Dignity Health is the perfect partner to help us highlight and support the LA community that surrounds the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park.”
The MLS season begins in March, and the 27,000-capacity stadium is in the midst of hosting the NFL’s Chargers for this season after the team left San Diego in 2017. The Chargers have announced they intend to join the Rams at the new stadium being constructed in Inglewood, Calif.
The StubHub Center hosts some concerts every year, the most regular of which were the annual KIIS FM Wango Tango and KROQ Weenie Roast events.
