Mertaban Named GM Of Microsoft Theater

Amir Mertaban is joining AEG Presents / L.A. Live as GM of the Microsoft Theatre effective Dec. 12. He comes from Live Nation as GM of the Fox Performing Arts Center and Riverside Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, Calif.

“It’s an amazing venue that’s part of an incredible campus,” Mertaban wrote of the 7,100-capacity theatre next door to Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles . “I’m honored and ready to jump in and starting GMing.” 

He added, “I owe a lot to my Live Nation family over the past 5 years and to everyone that’s been a part of this story. I’m thankful to you all and hope that you’ll stay in touch.”

Before Live Nation, Mertaban spent six years at the Fairplex in Pomona, as business development manager and, before that, Advance & Group Sales Manager, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Upcoming dates at Microsoft Theatre include Barry Manilow, Brian Setzer Orchestra, John Legend, and George Lopez. Recent Boxoffice reports include Maxwell Nov. 10, who sold 6,059 tickets and grossed just under $400,000.
