Longtime Agent Allan Bregman Dies At 92

Allan Bregman, who over the years worked for MCA, Ashley Famous Agency, Marquee Enterprises, the Nederlander Organization and Caesars World Productions, died Sept. 25 at the age of 92. A memorial event is being planned for 2019.

He was born in Cleveland and grew up in Lorain, Ohio. He joined the Merchant Marines in 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy, where he played in the band and caught the entertainment bug.

Over the course of more than 50 years in the entertainment industry, Bregman worked in television, theatre and concerts, holding such positions as VP of the Nederlander Organization and president/national entertainment director of Caesars World Productions, working with the likes of Neil Diamond, Bette Midler, Cher, Aerosmith, Julio Iglesias, Stevie Wonder, and Smokey Robinson.

According to a news release announcing his death, he was also credited with bringing Cirque du Soleil to Las Vegas.

In terms of television, he worked on “The Perry Como Show,” “The Steve Allen Show,” and “The Soupy Sales Show.” 

Bregman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jewel, a daughter, son, son-in-law, and three grandchildren.

Family members are encouraging donations be made to the Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation or the Stroke Recovery Center of Palm Springs.
