Desert Daze Returning to Lake Perris, Calif.
–
Desert Daze, the independent Southern California festival with psychrock-leanings, announced late yesterday it would be returning October 11-13 to Moreno Beach at Lake Perris State Park and is putting its early-bird GA pass on sale starting Wed. Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. PST.
In its first year at Perris State Park, Desert Daze experienced a bit of growing pains and bad luck: a lightning storm on Friday Oct. 13 forced an early cancellation and Tame Impala off stage. And traffic congestion resulted in different entrance plans over the weekend.
The festival, which was founded by Moon Block led by co-founder Phil Pirrone and added partners Knitting Factory and Spaceland Presents in 2016, has already made adjustments for next year. In a FAQ on their website, Desert Daze said next year’s fest would add more parking and car and RV camping and have festival check-in available the campsites as well as the option to arrive a day earlier.
