Alessia Cara, Logic, OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding Announced For NCAA Football Playoffs

Logic plays The Hangout Beach, Music & Art Festival at Gulf Shores Public Beach in Alabama May 19.
Levi’s Stadium in Mountain View, Calif., will host the College Football Playoff’s National Championship game Jan. 7 and the AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! concert series will light up the Bay Area in the days leading up to it, with a bevvy of just-announced artists performing for free.
The concert series runs Jan. 4-6 at Discovery Meadow Park in San Jose, Calif. The Friday will feature Alessia Cara and Brynn Elliot; the Saturday is Logic, Leon Bridges and Jay Rock; and Sunday boasts OneRepublic and Ellie Goulding.
Gates open at 6 p.m. each day and a live stream of the performances will air through AT&T’s website.
Other “Championship Campus” events will also be taking place throughout the Bay Area in the week leading up to the big game.
Playoff Fan Central will take place each day at San Jose Convention Center, featuring games, clinics, pep rallies, band performances and guest appearances.
“The Quad” will be held Jan. 5 at San Jose’s SAP Center At San Jose, with more than 1,000 media members previewing the game. Coaches and athletes from the championships competing teams will also participate in the event.
The “Extra Yard 5k” road race will be held in downtown San Jose Jan. 6 to benefit the Extra Yard for Teachers charity.
The “Eckrich Taste of the Championship” fundraiser featuring food and beverage samplings will be held at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose Jan. 6.
And, of course, the Championship Tailgate takes place in the Levi’s Stadium parking Jan. 7. The game airs live on ESPN this year, beginning at 8 p.m. EDT.
