A Beautiful Perspective Announces Body Image Event In NYC

A Beautiful Perspective’s “#BoPo #MeToo – Let’s Talk About Bodies” event.
A Beautiful Perspective today announced its latest live event entitled “#BoPo #MeToo – Let’s Talk About Bodies” featuring Whitney Bell, Miss Eaves, Bunny Michael and J.F. Seary on Dec. 14 at New York City’s Subculture.
The body positive event seeks to answer, “How do we live in our bodies and create safe spaces for female-hood” in a time of social media and a fraught political climate, according to a news release.
A Beautiful Perspective was founded by Rehan Choudhry, and described as “equal parts community-inspired activism, concert and speaker series” that centers around “issues that matter.” Choudhry founded downtown Las Vegas’ Life is Beautiful Festival five years ago as well as the Food Network Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival and served as head of entertainment for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The line-up for December’s body image event includes: rapper, artist, activist Miss Eaves; rapper, artist, activist Bunny Michael; poet, actor, activist J.F. Seary; and speaker, author and designer, Whitney Bell.
ABP’s past events include “Immigrants searching for a home” in September held at NYU’s Skirball Center with musician and activist M.I.A. as well as Jennifer Mendelsohn, Suhaiymah and Rotana; and the Emerge Impact + Music Conference this past April 6-8, held in Las Vegas and featuring more than 100 artists and speakers including OK Go, Rhye, Twin Shadow, Jill Sobule and Hurray For The Riff Raff.
Brice Rosenbloom, ABP’s director of talent and programming, currently books the Winter Jazz Festival and New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge in addition to founding the Boom Collective promotions company.
