The exclusive ticketing partner of the Isle Of Man TT

Ticketmaster Sport has become the exclusive ticketing partner for the infamous Isle Of Man TT Races, which take place annually on the self-governing isle located between England and Ireland.
Tickets will be sold through Universe, Ticketmaster’s DIY white label solution, which launched in the UK in 2016. All TT and Classic TT events will be sold via a new website, which is powered by Universe. Ticketmaster Sport will also provide customer service support and on-site box office services for the events.
The TT, which stand for Tourist Trophy, will benefit from Ticketmaster Sport’s marketing reach, as well as from the experience the Live Nation company has gained in the UK sports industry over the last thirty-five years. Besides motorsport events such as Formula E, Ticketmaster has worked with major venues and teams including Twickenham Stadium, Principality Stadium, Murrayfield Stadium, Manchester United FC, Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC in the UK.
The commercial rights of the Isle of Man TT Races and Classic TT Races are owned by the Isle of Man Government Department for Enterprise. Government representative Rob Callister said: “This partnership with Ticketmaster Sport will mean we can give race fans a state of the art, easy to use ticketing experience with access to instant digital tickets. We will also benefit from Ticketmaster Sport’s extensive experience and reach to help us grow our audience and increase visitors to the Isle of Man in the long term.”
Adam Newsam, managing director of Ticketmaster Sport, added: “We are delighted to provide our ticketing solutions for one of the blue-ribbon events on the world’s sporting calendar. The team look forward to working with the Isle of Man Government to provide the best-in-class service, as well as increasing the number of fans to this one-of-a-kind race meeting.”
The Isle Of Man TT is considered among the most dangerous races in the world. Each year, public roads are closed to create what is known as the Snaefell Mountain Course, a 37.73 miles long track comprising 264 turns.
Since its inception in 1907, many riders have died trying to beat the lap record time, which currently stands at 16:42.778. It was achieved by Peter Hickman this year, who set a new lap record speed of 135.452 mph.
Tickets for the 2019 events, including VIP hospitality experiences, will go on sale Nov. 17 on iomttraces.com.
