Kelly Clarkson To Explore ‘Meaning Of Life’ In Tour

Kelly Clarkson is starting off 2019 right with a two-month tour of the U.S. to promote the tunes off her latest album, Meaning Of Life. Support acts on the trek include Brynn Cartelli on all dates and Kelsea Ballerini on select dates.

The dates kick off in Oakland, Calif.’s Oracle Arena Jan. 24 and continue throughout many major markets, wrapping March 30 in Greenville, S.C.

A presale for American Express Card Members kicks off Sept. 17 and the general onsale begins Sept. 24. She’s offering four different VIP experiences for the tour that include perks like seats at a bar against the stage and access to a private lounge.

On the same date as her general onsale, she will return to the show “The Voice” as a coach. Clarkson knows something about music competitions, as she was the first winner of “American Idol.”

Clarkson can  draw, as she grossed $166,250 at Rosemont Theatre in Illinois Dec. 5 last year off 3,158 tickets.

The last full tour Clarkson reported was in 2015 when she took in U.S. arenas with Abi Ann, Eric Hutchinson and Pentatonix. She came in at No. 106 on the 2015 Top 200 North American Tours chart, with $9.7 million grossed for the year.

One reason she hasn’t toured much since 2016 is because she gave birth to her second child, Remington Alexander Blackstock, that year. She also got a deal for a picture book, “River Rose and the Magical Lullaby,” in 2016, published through HarperCollins Children’s Books.
