Smara Iglesia Joins Kenes Group As Managing Director In Spain

Spain’s Kenes Group announced this week that Smara Iglesia has joined the conference experts as managing director with immediate effect.

Smara has more than 15 years of experience in international conference and exhibition management as well as cross-functional expertise in business development, logistics and production.

She previously worked for corporate event production companies as well as renowned national and international professional congress organisers (PCO).

Iglesia takes over Kenes Spain’s operations from Carlos de Sebastian, who will focus his attention on developing Latin America activities as managing director LATAM.

“We are excited to welcome Smara onboard. We trust that together with Carlos, they will strengthen our presence in Spain and LATAM,” said Kenes Group CEO Dan Rivlin.

“We live in a dynamic world, where we need to remain flexible in order to maintain our edge. To do that, we have to be open to structural changes that will allow us to work better and provide services expected of us from our clients,” he added.

Kenes Group, which was founded in Tel Aviv in 1965 and is headquartered in Geneva, hosts more than 3,500 conferences around the world, welcoming over 140,000 participants a year.

The group specializes in medical and scientific events. The company employs a team of over 350 professional  in 26 offices on four continents.
