Drake Calls Off Hometown Show At The Last Minute

Drake was running through The Six and said “Nope!” Toronto’s most famous rapper bailed out of the first hometown stop on his Aubrey & The Three Migos tour last night, with a new date to be announced at a later time.

No one has issued further comment on why the show at Scotiabank Arena was axed. 

The tour was already delayed from its originally scheduled launch July 26 in Salt Lake City, but it did properly kick off Aug. 10 in Kansas City. Drizzy’s camp blamed production issues for the initial postponement. That schedule change also saw the initially planned Aug. 20-22 show in Chicago canceled and replaced with the Toronto gig.

The next scheduled stop for Drake and Migos is Aug. 24-25, and 27-28 at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. He also plays Barclays Center in Brooklyn three times, meaning he will be doing a whopping seven shows in the five boroughs.

Drake has proven himself a big Boxoffice draw, as his last run at MSG in 2016 grossed an impressive $7.1 million over four nights. That run sold 55,976 tickets with the arena configured for 14,521.
