Playboi Carti performs during the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on June 8, 2018 in Manchester, Tennessee.
His album may be called Die Lit, but he is ready to make hip-hop fans feel alive all over the continent, as Playboi Carti has announced a three-week tour of the U.S. and Canada.
The tour runs from July 24, launching in San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre, until Aug. 17 when it wraps at The Tabernacle in his native Atlanta.
Tickets go on sale June 15 at 10 a.m. local time.
The young rapper dropped Die Lit on May 11 and impressed many with the project’s production. It includes features from heavyweights like Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug and Lil Uzi Vert, as well as Bryson Tiller, Skepta and Chief Keef.
Carti has had a string of bad luck with tours as he was scheduled to go out with Big Sean before that trek was postponed so that Sean could “stay focused in the studio” and had his 16*29 tour with Lil Uzi Vert axed after the latter artist also said he needed “to focus.”
The Playboi has festivals lined up throughout North America and Europe in the summer, including BET Experience in Los Angeles, Lollapalooza in Chicago, and Reading and Leeds in the U.K. He also just wrapped a set at Bonnaroo.
One of the most recent reports we have for the artist is from Fabrique in Milan, Italy, March 11, where he sold 1,400 tickets at an average ticket price of $25 for a total gross of $42,750.
