First Aid Kit’s Johanna and Klara Soederberg play Columbiahalle in Berlin March 8.
June through early October is the date span for First Aid Kit’s 2018 “Rebel Heart Tour.” Supporting Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg on select dates will be Jade Bird, Julia Jacklin, and M. Ward.
The duo completed a January-February winter headlining run through North America and played Coachella in April. The upcoming tour in support of the group’s Ruins album includes a stop at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival plus a June 14 evening with Ryan Adams at Denver’s Red Rocks.
“North America, we can’t get enough of you so we’re coming back in the fall with the #RebelHeartTour,” Klara and Johanna said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to returning to some of our favorite cities again and to exploring new places like Las Vegas and Albuquerque.”
“Striking while the iron is hot” may be an old saying but it certainly applies to First Aid Kit’s touring strategy. Data reported to Pollstar for the duo’s winter tour shows several sold-out or near sold-out gigs. First Aid Kit sold all 2,427 tickets for its Feb. 7 show at House Of Blues Boston, grossing $61,571. The group’s Feb. 1 gig at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium almost sold out, moving 2,266 out of 2,356 tickets for a $72,684 gross.
Tickets for “The Rebel Heart Tour” go on sale May 11 at 10 a.m. local time. While you’re considering which date works best for you, Feast your eyeballs on First Aid Kit’s recent performance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
