Arctic Monkeys Add October Leg

North America is getting a whole slew of Arctic Monkeys performances to coincide with the release of its new album.
Arctic Monkeys was already set to play the continent in May, June, July and August, and now nine shows have been added in October, starting Oct. 9 at South Side Ballroom in Dallas and wrapping Oct. 25 in Vancouver’s
Mini Mansions are supporting all of the new dates and The Lemon Twigs will support one gig at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles Oct. 16.
Presales open up April 26, and tickets go on sale to the general public April 27.
The new album is called Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, and drops May 11.
It’s been a long time since Pollstar got a report from Arctic Monkeys. The last time they played North America, it was also with Mini Mansions in 2014, and that year they moved 5,463 tickets to Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie in Texas for a $239,257 gross. The headliners also moved 6,018 tickets sans Mini Mansions for a $293,257 gross in The Woodlands, Texas that year.
