XXXTentacion Sues Woman For Defamation

XXXTentacion is reportedly suing a woman who he is shown hitting in the head in a recently circulating video.

The rapper, awaiting trial for alleged battery against his pregnant girlfriend in 2016, is claiming a years-old video recently posted onto the internet showing him hitting a former female associate in the back of the head was being used as blackmail.

According to TMZ, X says the video was posted after the woman and her grandparents asked for $300,000 to remain silent about the incident, knowing he was in the midst of a sensitive court case which could see him serving decades in prison. The site reports he is suing for fraud and defamation.

XXXTentacion’s lawyers have since said the younger X was clearly joking and at the time both parties acknowledged there had been no harm done. The woman shown in the video said she didn’t reveal the video sooner because she feared for her safety, according to TMZ.
