Staking out a late-September to mid-November run, the Goo Goo Dolls plan on performing album No. 6 along with other hits and surprises.
The official name of the outing is “SiriusXM Presents: Goo Goo Dolls – Dizzy Up The Girl 20th Anniversary Tour.” As the title suggests, the Goos will perform Dizzy Up The Girl from start to finish.
Performing the album means the Goo Goo Dolls will deliver plenty of hits. The multi-platinum Dizzy Up the Girl is credited with five Top 10 singles, including the multi-Grammy nominated “Iris” and “Slide.”
“I am incredibly excited to share this album in its entirety with our fans,” Said Goo Goo Dolls’ John Rzeznik. The band also posted a tour video announcing the fall travel plan.
The tour opens Sept. 30 in Phoenix and wraps Nov. 18 in Las Vegas. Destinations include Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, Chicago and Los Angeles.
According to data submitted to Pollstar, attendance for the Goo Goo Dolls’ 2017 tour averaged approximately 4,230 tickets per gig.
