John Davisson – Alison Krauss
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Fairgrounds Racecourse, New Orleans, La.
There’s more than one way to experience Alison Krauss. You can catch one of her co-headlining dates with Willie Nelson, see the violinist/singer performing on a festival stage or enjoy one of her many headlining shows.
The multiple ways of Krauss begin May 16 when she co-headlines with Nelson & Family at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. The co-billed concerts continue with the two stars playing Nashville (May 18); Pelham, Ala. (May 19); Alpharetta, Ga. (May 20); Champaign, Ill. (May 22) and Louisville (May 23) before Krauss lands in Raleigh, N.C., for a performance at the Outlaw Music Fest.
Other festivals on Krauss’ list include the Funhouse Fest in Williamsburg, Va.; TD Canada Trust Toronto Jazz Fest in Toronto, Ontario; Ottawa Jazz Festival in Ottawa, Ontario; and Rochester International Jazz Festival in Rochester, N.Y.
Krauss continues her co-headlining travels with Nelson in July and August. Headline shows of her own, include July 13 in New Orleans; July 14 in Memphis and Sept. 14 in Milwaukee.
Krauss went on a co-headlining tour with David Gray in autumn 2017, selling out for two shows Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium for a $376,850 total gross. Other sold-out shows include the tour’s stop at Hershey Theatre in Hershey, Pa., and Outlaw Field at The Idaho Botanical Garden, with grosses of $180,763 and $241,052, respectively.
