BottleRock Presents’ Sonoma Harvest Festival Brings Music Back To B.R. Cohn Winery

Sonoma Harvest Music Festival at historic B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, Calif., marks the return of live music to the venue for the first time in the three years, and the first new festival launched by BottleRock Presents, producers of BottleRock Napa Valley.
Headlining are The Avett Brothers and The Head and the Heart on September 22 and 23, respectively, the new boutique festival will also feature Lake Street Dive,
B.R. Cohn Winery was previously the site of the Sonoma Music Festival and B.R. Cohn Fall Charity Concert, which was organized by vintner and artist manager Bruce Cohn, and ran for 28 years before being canceled in 2016.
This time, BottleRock Presents – created when Live Nation acquired a majority stake in David Graham’s Latitude 38 – is bringing an intimate music, food and wine event back to California’s Sonoma County.
“We are very happy to announce the return of music to B.R. Cohn Winery with the Sonoma Harvest Music Festival,” Graham said in a statement. “This intimate festival has a storied history in Sonoma wine country. No other music festival allows attendees to enjoy this level of musical talent in such an intimate venue, paired with Sonoma’s laid back hospitality, great wine and food. We essentially created this music festival for people who don’t like larger-sized music festivals.”
The site accommodates about 3,000 fans, and Graham told Pollstar that the festival will essentially be an “all VIP” event with premium food and wine selections and proximity to the stage from all seats.
Among the culinary vendors on board are the girl & the fig, Glen Ellen Star, Zazu Kitchen + Farm, Brewsters Beer Garden & Restaurant and Sonoma Mission Inn and, of course, B.R. Cohn wines.
In addition, the region’s craft brewers, including Lagunitas, Barrel Brothers, 101 North Brewing Co. and Sonoma Springs Brewing Co. will also be pouring their best during the two-day festival.
“B.R. Cohn Winery has a longstanding music heritage and live music is in our DNA,” explained Pat Roney, President/CEO of Vintage Wine Estates, who purchased the winery in 2015. “Our dream was to bring music back to the estate in a big way, with world-class artists performing in our beautiful natural amphitheater overlooking Olive Hill Vineyard.”
Two-day festival passes for the Sonoma Harvest Music Festival weekend at B.R. Cohn Winery range from $255 General Admission, to $500 VIP and $1200 for the exclusive weekend Platinum pass. Passes will be available beginning March 28 at 10 a.m. PST at the festival’s website. Single day GA and VIP festival passes will be available at a later date.
