Lollapalooza Argentina Rained Out Of Third Day
The final day of Lollapalooza Argentina, March 18 at Buenos Aires’ San Isidro Hippodrome, was called off by organizers due to intense weather conditions, canceling scheduled performances from Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem, Kygo, Volbeat and many more.
The announcement came via Lollapalooza Argentina’s Facebook page, stating that heavy storms and strong winds had occurred throughout the night and were expected to continue, so in compliance with government instruction, the third date was canceled.
A previous statement had come through All Access Official, informing visitors of the possibility of a third-day cancellation, ensuring fans that the tickets were guaranteed. Refunds will be available.
Diego Finkelstein, founder of DF Entertainment said in the statement (roughly translated): “Being our absolute priority is the safety of our public, artists and staff … in line with our policy of respect and care for our people, we are forced to have to take the regrettable decision to cancel the third day of the festival.”
The entire festival was scheduled to take place March 16-18, and the first two days featured Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imagine Dragons, Chance The Rapper, Camila Cabello, The Killers, Lana Del Rey, Wiz Khalifa, and DJ Snake.
Lollapalooza Brazil is set to take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Autodromo de Interlagos March 23-25 with many of the same headliners. Lollapalooza Chile occurred simultaneously with the same stable of acts and went through without incident.
