The Anthem Gets Pumped To Support March For Our Lives Rally, Fall Out Boy To Headline

Fall Out Boy will headline the Stay Amped Benefit Concert at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., to help fund March For Our Lives rallies in response to last month’s mass shooting in Parkland, Fla.

Taking place March 23, the show also features performances from G-Eazy, Lizzo and BeBe Rexha. Fall Out Boy is curating the lineup as well as playing the headlining slot. More surprise guests are expected to be announced soon.

The night will feature special appearances from students, gun violence survivors and alumni from Parkland, Fla.’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which was the site of the mass shooting that killed 17 students and staff members.

Tickets, on sale at 10 a.m. March 14, will be available through Ticketfly and at The Anthem, 9:30 Club, Merriweather Post Pavilion and Lincoln Theatre box offices during regular hours.

In addition to general admission, 850 Super Excellent Seats (premium assigned seats in the balconies) will be offered. Each Super Excellent ticket includes a complimentary student ticket that will be distributed by March Four Our Lives organizers to student activists attending the rallies.

Proceeds will benefit nonprofits Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and Giffords: Courage to Fight Gun Violence to help fund March For Our Lives rallies, which are organized by students, teachers and parents in response to the Parkland shooting. More than 400 marches will take place in cities across the country March. 24.

“This is a time for action. We need to support the Parkland teens, and kids across the country,” Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz said in a statement. “We have their backs, and we must demand our lawmakers do more to end this gun violence crisis.”

“Music brings people together, fuels our energy, and offers us inspiration. It’s for those reasons music played such an important role in my recovery,” former Representative Gabrielle Giffords said in a statment. “I’m thrilled that the night before students take to the streets to march in communities across the country, this concert will provide an opportunity for us to gather and show support for the activism of young people and to encourage them to stay loud as they demand a safer future.”

The benefit concert was organized by Donna Westmoreland, C.O.O. of I.M.P. and music executive Liana Huth. Both have previously worked on other benefits, including the Women’s March Official After Party in 2017
