Radiohead Sets North American Summer Tour
Jason Squires – Radiohead
Performing at the Sprint Center in Kansas, Mo.
Chicago, New York, Toronto, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Montreal and Philadelphia are just some of the cities hosting Radiohead when the band revs up its touring machine for an adventure across North America. Ticket sales begin Feb. 23.
Touring in support of its 2016 album, A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead will launch its summer escapade at Chicago’s United Center July 7. New York will host the band for three shows (July 10-11 & 13) while Montreal, Toronto, Boston and Philadelphia will see two nights of Thom Yorke & Co. The band is eschewing amphitheatres for the air-conditioned comfort of arenas.
Radiohead undertook a short run across North America in spring 2017 that included two nights headlining Coachella. The band’s sell-out headlining shows resulted in an average gross upwards of $1 million for a total gross of $8,386,170 reported to Pollstar.
Tickets for Detroit, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Boston and Philadelphia go on sale Feb. 23; New York, Montreal, and Toronto go up Feb. 24. Follow Pollstar’s Radiohead page for further developments.
