Mac DeMarco isn’t getting any rest, as the self-described slacker has added fall dates to his ongoing international tour in support of his latest album.
The outing kicks off Aug. 25 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, with following dates in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City. The leg wraps up Sept. 10 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Co.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 9.
Demarco’s international tour began Feb. 8 in Australia, with upcoming shows in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
The announcement arrives almost a year after the Canadian rocker released his fourth studio effort, This Old Dog. The album was featured on several best-of year-end lists.
DeMarco is also working on a split EP with The Flaming Lips, whom he toured extensively with last year. The indie rocker played several dates of his own as well, including sold-out shows at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, which sold 5,887 tickets and grossed $199,735; and at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkley in California, moving 8,500 tickets and grossing $335,888.
