From 1979-1982, Mensch worked with Aerosmith managers Steve Leber and David Krebs, managing AC/DC, Scorpions, Def Leppard and Michael Schenker.

On April Fools’ Day 1982, Mensch and Cliff Burnstein formed Q Prime with Def Leppard as their first client. Today, the company has offices in New York, Nashville and London, and its roster includes Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Snow Patrol, Foals, Silversun Pickups, Cage the Elephant, and The Black Keys.

At ILMC 2018, Mensch will be answering questions posed by another manager legend, Ed Bicknell, who has been moderating the Breakfast Meeting since it launched 15 years ago. Conference organizers around ILMC head Greg Parmley have announced further program details for the 30th edition.

Panels include “BREXIT 2025: Looking Back,” chaired by UK Music CEO Michael Dugher, which examines the impact of Brexit on the European touring business.

Coda’s Natasha Bent will chair a panel dubbed “Gender: Calm down, what’s the fuss?” inviting industry leaders, including investment banking head and mother of nine Dame Helena Morrissey, to discuss gender and inclusivity in the live music business.

The Venue Summit, which premiered at this year’s ILMC, returns in 2018 and welcomes Kilimanjaro Live’s Stuart Galbraith to talk about whether venues hold the real power in the global touring business in a session dubbed Corridors of power, and Ahoy Arena’s Peter van der Veer will present a first look at new data from the National and European Arena Associations.

Said Parmley: “We’ve never had an edition of ILMC when there were so many topics to cover,” adding that “the full agenda will be announced in January.”
