Update: Foo Fighters Postpone Shows Citing 'Family Emergency'

Update: A family emergency forced Foo Fighters to reschedule concerts at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky., Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.

The first postponement at Rupp Arena was announced just hours before the scheduled Oct. 21 show, which was rescheduled to May 1.

The Nashville show wasn’t immediately rescheduled but, according to the band’s statement, “information on the new date will be announced shortly.”

The Oct. 24 Memphis show has been moved to May 3.

All tickets for the postponed shows will be honored for the rescheduled concerts; refunds are available at the point of purchase for those who can’t attend on the new dates.

“The band sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience and looks forward to seeing fans at the new dates,” the statement said.

Further information about the nature of the emergency or if other shows may be affected wasn’t immediately available. The next show not affected to date by the postponements is Oct. 26 at Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Ala. Ticketholders should contact their local box offices or Ticketmaster if they have further ticketing questions.

Foo Fighters launched their current “Concrete and Gold” tour with a sold-out grand opening concert at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., Oct. 12, and has North American dates booked through December before embarking in January on stadium legs in Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The Foos have two stadium dates scheduled for June in the U.K.
