Live Nation Acquires United Concerts
Live Nation has acquired another independent promoter – Salt Lake City’s big fish of
The acquisition follows years of co-promotion and means United’s CEO Jim McNeil is now Live Nation’s President of U.S. Concerts – Salt Lake City. McNeil will report directly to Bob Roux, Live Nation’s Co-president of North American concerts.
United produces more than 170 events annually at venues throughout Utah.
“Becoming part of Live Nation is a strategic move that will benefit our operated venues, and Utah’s live music community at large,” McNeil said. “We look forward to connecting artists with countless fans here in Salt Lake.”
Upcoming shows promoted by United include Imagine Dragons at the 20,000-capacity
United has brought artists like Jason Aldean to Usana and Kehlani to The Depot this year, and also moved 93 percent of available tickets to two nights of Luke Bryan with Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch at Usana last year.
