The tour features the Beach Boys’ acclaimed 1966 album performed in its entirety, along with hits and fan favorites from the band’s career and Wilson’s solo catalog.

The influential and critically acclaimed Pet Sounds is ranked No. 2 by Rolling Stone in its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” RS proclaims,With its vivid orchestration, lyrical ambition, elegant pacing and thematic coherence, Pet Sounds invented – and in some sense perfected – the idea that an album could be more than the sum of its parts. When Wilson sang, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if we were older?’ on the magnificent opener, he wasn’t just imagining a love that could evolve past high school; he was suggesting a new grown-up identity for rock & roll music itself.”

The new leg of North American dates begins Sept. 15 in Moncton, New Brunswick, with a performance at The Molson Canadian Centre.

New cities added to the routing include Boston, New York, Atlantic City, Fresno and Toledo, Ohio.

“We are blown away by the reception of this tour, it’s unbelievable how many people love this album,” Wilson said in an announcement sent out today. “The audiences have been so fantastic and we are honored to play for them.  We never expected this reaction so we will continue to perform this album for people as long as they ask us to!”

Wilson’s agent, APA’s Bruce Solar, adds, “This tour is really unprecedented, I can’t think of an album that garners so much respect that fans all over the world a year later are still asking for more shows. The interest hasn’t slowed down and Brian during this time in his life is finding so much joy in these performances. It’s really inspiring.”
