Giant Container Jigsaw Unveiled At Autism Rocks Arena

In time for the sold-out Justin Bieber show at 117Live’s 30,000-capacity, open-air arena on May 6, artist Guido van Helten unveiled the largest reconfigurable format street art in the world.

Presented by Red Bull Curates, the artist used a total of 63 containers measuring 135 meters in length and 12 meters in height. Van Helten painted individual fragments, which were later assembled by two 100-ton cranes over the course of 48 hours to form a pair of eyes.

It took van Helten 288 hours spread over 18 days to complete the project. The whole installations weighs 207 tons.

The giant eyes will serve as a backdrop at Justin Bieber’s upcoming Dubai show at Autism Rocks Arena.
