War On Drugs Thinking Of Some Places To Tour
Having just released the single “Thinking of a Place” and about to announce a new LP, The War On Drugs will hit the road for two-plus months this fall, spanning North America, the U.K. and mainland Europe.

Frontman Adam Granduciel will be joined by core members Dave Hartley, Robbie Bennett, Charlie Hall, Anthony LaMarca and Jon Natchez, kicking off in the band’s home base of Philly, at the Dell Music Center Sept. 21.
The band will rock well into October from coast to coast including Boston (Blue Hills Bank Pavilion Sept. 23), Dallas (The Bomb Factory Sept 28), Los Angeles (Greek Theatre Oct. 5) and Chicago (Riviera Theatre Oct. 19). War On Drugs also has one night booked in Canada – Oct. 21 at Toronto’s Massey Hall.
The group will hit Europe in November, including Nov. 6 at Le Bataclan in Paris, Nov. 12 at the O2 Apollo Manchester in the UK and Nov. 14 at London’s Alexandra Palace.
The War On Drugs’ 2014 LP, Lost In The Dream, garnered rave reviews with its sweeping walls of sound, earnest vocals and heartland rock influences reminiscent of Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen.
Fans who join the band’s email list at TheWarOnDrugs.net will receive first access to presale tickets, which happens May 1 in North America and May 2 in Europe, 10 a.m. local time. The general onsale is May 5 at 10 a.m. local time.
Today’s announcement from War On Drugs promise that news of a new ful-length album by the band will be “coming soon.”
