It should come as no surprise that Styles is pursuing a solo career. Although Styles is best known as one of the members of One Direction, he initially tried out for the British TV series “The X Factor” as a solo performer.
He’s also contributed his songwriting skills to a number of songs by other artists, including Ariana Grande, Alex & Sierra, Gavin DeGraw and Michael Bublé.
Earlier this month Styles appeared as the musical guest on “SNL,” performing his hit single “Sign of the Times” and the track “Ever Since New York.” The tunes hail from his self-titled debut album, due out May 12.
Styles’ first-ever solo world tour launches Sept. 19 in San Francisco. The last stop of the tour is Ex Theater in Tokyo, where he plays two nights Dec. 7-8.
Fan registration through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program began today for the North American dates. Tickets for all shows go on sale to the general public May 5, excluding Japan.
