Fall Out Boy Lands In North America

Emo mainstay Fall Out Boy is back with a brand new album due out in the summer, and the band is touring North America to introduce fans to the new material.

The album, titled M A N I A, comes out Sept. 15 through Island Records/DCD2 Records. There is a new single, “Young and Menace” out now. Check out the music video:

About the song, bassist and lyricist Pete Wentz said of the meaning about the song: “It wasn’t until I discovered punk rock and that community that I realized I did fit in somewhere in this world – with the other people who didn’t fit in. … It’s hard to rationalize rage – it’s hard to quantify anxiety… this song does neither, it embraces the wave.”
The tour spans almost a full month from Oct. 20 in Cleveland to Nov. 18 in Phoenix. The venues are all arenas, and the former Pollstar HotStar moves through pretty much every region in the country.

An announcement on Fall Out Boy’s website gives a shout out to the band’s hometown saying, “Chicago, we didn’t forget about you on the tour. We’re planning something special.”
A presale opens May 1 and the general onsale will be May 5. $1 from each ticket sold goes to the Fall Out Boy Fund, which supports multiple Chicago charities.
