Knitting Factory And Big Sky Expansion
Knitting Factory Presents announced April 25 that officials have finalized a multi-year partnership with Big Sky Brewing Company in Missoula, Mont.
The companies also announced ground has been broken on several infrastructure improvements after more than a year of planning. The 6,000-capacity BSBC will feature an engineered amphitheater bowl, improving sight lines for all concertgoers and allowing for many different configurations, including GA and reserved seat options. The new stage house will provide artists with a state-of-the-art performance space and upgraded production capabilities, KFP said in a statement.
So far KFP and BSBC have hosted more sixty concerts at the brewery’s home in
Missoula and the 2017 Summer Concert Series has eight shows announced.
The Trey Anastasio Band will headline the grand reopening on June 3rd. Also on the books are Rebelution June 23, Sublime with Rome July 4, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals July 18, UB40 Featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey Virtue July 19, Michael Franti & Spearhead Sept. 11 and the debut of Travelers’ Rest August 12-13, a new festival presented by The Decemberists.
