QOTSA, The xx Headlining Splendour In The Grass
Australia’s biggest winter festival, Splendour In The Grass in Byron Bay, announced Queens of the Stone Age and The xx as headliners in its first artist announcement of more than 100 acts.

The three-day festival July 21-23 at North Byron Parklands,was co-founded in 2001 by Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco’s Secret Service.
Live Nation acquired a 51 percent stake in the company December 2016. Since 2014, it has had a capacity of 30,000, which traditionally sells out immediately.
Other international acts included LCD Soundsystem, George Ezra, Rag ’N’ Bone Man, Royal Blood, Haim, Sigur Ros, Schoolboy Q, Stormzy, Future Islands, and Father John Misty.
They join high-profile Australian acts including Paul Kelly, Vance Joy, Peking Duk, Bernard Fanning, Dan Sultan, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard,
This is the first lineup since LN’s acquisition. At the time, LN CEO and president Michael Rapino said, “We look forward to partnering with them to find new ways to grow our live event footprint across Australia.”
