Glastonbury Festival Unveils Initial Lineup

After confirming a few acts, like Radiohead, Ed Sheeran and Foo Fighters, over the past several months, today Glastonbury organizers released the festival’s first lineup poster for 2017.

The beloved event returns to Worthy Farm in Pilton, England, June 21-25 with a mix of established artists and rising stars from rock, pop, hip hop, folk, R&B, soul and EDM.

The xx, The National, Biffy Clyro, Katy Perry, Barry Gibb, Royal Blood, Stormzy, Chic, Major Lazer, Alt-J, Boy Better Know, Lorde, Solange, Run the Jewels, Laura Marling, Kris Kristofferson, The Jacksons, Emeli Sandé, Phoenix, First Aid Kit, Justice, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, Haim, and Toots and the Maytals are just a sample of the performers headed to the farm.  

Today’s news promises “many more acts and attractions” will be added.

Tickets sold out in October in less than an hour. Earlier this week Glastonbury posted a reminder on Facebook if you paid a deposit on a 2017 ticket you must pay your balance between April 1-7.

Proceeds from the event support Oxfam, WaterAid, Greenpeace and other “worthy causes.”
