The company reported the “unauthorized third-party intrusion” occurred between September and February and announced March 1 it was investigating the matter.
What the investigation revealed is that alleged hackers may have accessed the personal information of some customers including “some combination of their first and last names; Coachella.com usernames; email addresses; birth dates; phone numbers (if provided); mailing addresses” and driver’s license and/or passport numbers, or other ID that may have been used to claim wristbands in person at one of the Goldenvoice festivals.
“It is important to note that, based on the current review, there is no indication that customer payment or financial information, or passwords were accessed,” said a Goldenvoice statement. “Out of an abundance of caution,” the statement continued that GV is offering one year of free identity theft protection services to those potentially affected customers who had some form of ID in the company’s database.
Customers seeking more information or wishing to sign on for the protection service should check in at Goldenvoice.com.
