Kress Live Closes, For Sale

Kress Live, a Biloxi, Miss., concert venue that was originally a department store dating back to the early 1900s, is closed and the building is up for sale.

The former S.H. Kress department store was converted in 2014 into an 800-capacity concert venue that hosted artists including Kevin Gates, Coolio, and Cowboy Mouth.

It now sits empty, awaiting a new owner and Southeast Comerica bank in Gulfport, Miss., recently dropped the price 23 percent to $1.8 million from $2.35 million.

Kress Live’s last reported show was Kress Live in November.
