Jeezy allegedly started getting squirrely about the gig, saying he didn’t want to do it and demanding more money after more than 1,000 tickets had already been sold. Austin said he agreed to raise the fee to $80,000 “under duress.”
In the end, Austin said the rapper opted to go to an album release party in Atlanta rather than perform and refused to reschedule the show the following weekend or fly to the gig via private jet from the party.
“I really never wanted to file this suit but Jeezy just refused to do the show or return the $30,000 deposit,” Austin told Pollstar.
The suit, which also names YJ Productions and Concerts and its head Sammy Mumphery, seeks $100,000 in damages and reimbursement of the $30,000 deposit already paid.
