PMJ, SNC Hit U.S.

Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox and Straight No Chaser are bringing their a cappella and retro-style jazz covers around the U.S. this summer with more than a month of dates.

The co-headline tour kicks off in Chicago July 13 and there are shows most nights until things wrap up in Concord, Calif., on Aug. 16. The two groups are also planning a special date together at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., on Oct. 4. 

Both bands have built followings for their creative covers of modern pop classics. While PMJ refits the songs to different styles of instrumentation, Straight No Chaser ditches the instruments for voices.

PMJ still has a run through California continuing today and then single shows in Reno, Nev., on Feb. 18 and Key Largo, Fla. on Feb. 24. After that, the Jukebox plays in Europe for more than a month.
