After his breakout release several years ago, Aaron Watson, has another album coming out and is booked for headline dates and festival appearances throughout the country to showcase the new tunes.

The new album, Vaquero, is out Feb. 24, and is available for pre-order now, with a few tracks already available to the public. His single “Outta Style” is currently being pushed on country radio.
One of the most interesting things about Aaron Watson is that he is a truly independent artist, not signed to a major label. He sings about being rejected by record company executives and rising to success without them on the song “Fence Post” off his 2015 album The Underdog.
I’d rather sing my own songs than be a puppet on a string
I wear what I wanna wear, I’m gonna sing what I wanna sing
Heaven knows all I need is my faith, my fans, my friends and my family
Besides I’d rather be an old fence post in Texas than the king of Tennessee
Watson’s routing opens tonight with one gig at the Silver Saloon in Terrell, Texas, Jan. 20 and then moves for a few shows overseas in the U.K. and Ireland. He will be playing shows until a festival appearance at Country On The River in Prairie du Chien, Wisc., on Aug. 3.
