Bill Graham Movie In Works
If there was anyone in music whose life story read like a movie script, it was Bill Graham. And now it appears the late concert-promoting legend may finally be getting one.
The film rights to “Bill Graham: My Life Inside Rock and Out,” the autobiography Graham wrote with Robert Greenfield before his death in 1991, were bought by 20th Century Fox about a year ago, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Screenwriter Zach Dean has reportedly been hired to write the script and Shawn Levy is to direct.
Levy will also produce the film, with Graham’s sons David and Alex executive producing, according to Deadline. Levy and Dean are both riding hot streaks.
Levy’s production company, 21 Laps, is behind the Netflix smash “Stranger Things.” Dean recently wrote the Carl Sagan movie “Voyagers” and a script for the upcoming Tom Cruise movie, “Methusaleh.”
No completion date for the film has been released.
