On A Bash & Pop Tour ‘Anything’ Can Happen

Tommy Stinson’s rock outfit Bash & Pop will soon be back on the road promoting its first release in more than 20 years.

The new album, titled Anything Could Happen, will be made available through Fat Possum Record on Jan. 20. For a sample of the Bash & Pop’s sound, check the music video for “On The Rocks” off the new project.

Stinson came to prominence as the bassist for The Replacements and also played with Perfect and Guns N’ Roses. Bash & Pop recorded Friday Night Is Killing Me in 1993 with a largely different lineup. This iteration of the band has Steve Selvidge of The Hold Steady on lead guitar, Joe Sirois of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones on drums, and Justin Perkins of Screeching Weasel on bass.

The new dates are up and down the West Coast, with a performance also booked at SXSW on March 13. The West Coast dates open Feb. 28 and run until March 9 in San Diego.

You can catch the band in the Midwest and Northeast from Jan. 12 in Minneapolis to Jan. 21 in Allston, Mass.
