Glastonbury Moves In 2019
The 48th edition of the UK’s most iconic festival won’t take place on Worthy Farm, Somerset.

Glastonbury’s 2019 location has not been disclosed yet. Glastonbury is taking its regular break in 2018 to give its original site a rest.
Festival founder Michael Eavis has been vocal about moving site for some time now. There are a couple of factors that make Worthy Farm unsuitable, such as an underground gas pipeline or the fact that many different farmers have stakes in the land, which complicates matters.
Nearby Longleat Estate had been considered as an alternative location, but talks to stage the festival there eventually failed. For 2019, it seems Eavis has found a new site.
The only information he leaked was that it would be staged about 100 miles from Worthy Farm, toward the Midlands of England. Sold-out Glastonbury 2017 will take place once more on Worthy Farm, June 21-25, with Radiohead already confirmed to headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday.
Currently rumored to fill the other headline slots are Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran.
