Elton John Lights Up South America
Elton John is booked for six shows in South America 2017, filling out what looks to be a busy year for the “Rocket Man” composer.
The new gigs start in Curitiba, Brazil, March 31 and continue for three more performances in that country until April 6 in Sau Paulo. After that Sir Elton plays Hipodromo Argentino De Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 8 and Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, on April 10.

Before the South American run Elton John plays a series of North American gigs from March 4 in Eugene, Ore., to March 23 in El Paso, Texas. He also plays Europe in the summer.
Sir Elton has recently had to set the record straight regarding his performance plans. He issued a statement denying rumors that he was planning to retire and, separately, had his publicist publicly refute the claim that he would be performing at the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Presales for the Brazil shows start Jan. 11. The presale for the Santiago gig opens Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. local time and a presale for the Buenos Aires show begins Dec. 21 local time.
