Miller’s contributions to rock were recognized in 2016 with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band was joined by Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, and N.W.A.

During its 50-year career the band has released 18 studio albums and six live albums. Its most recent studio effort is 2011’s Let Your Hair Down. Miller & Co. are responsible for a long list of hit singles including “The Joker,” “Take The Money and Run,” “Rock’n Me,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jungle Love” an“Abracadabra.”

Miller is on the Board of Jazz at Lincoln Center and on the board for the Metropolitan Museum’s Musical Instruments Collection.

As his bio on the Rock Hall’s website notes, life is good for Miller.

“I’m always excited about my next gig. I just moved to NewYork, and I get so inspired by the theater and museums and musical performances and readings. That stuff speaks to me and wakes me up. If I can spend the next 20 years of my life striving and working and grinding until that last day, then you get every drop out of life.”
