Metallica To ‘Rock On The Range’
May 19-21 is the weekend, Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, the place for three days of wall-to-wall thunder. Digging deeper into the lineup reveals Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, Amon Amarth, Pierce The Veil, Sum 41, Skillet, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and In Flames among the acts journeying to the Buckeye State.
“Rock On The Range is the pinnacle rock festival in America,” Korn’s Jonathan Davis said. “I always feel that in the crowd and can’t wait for our headline set in May. We’re gonna come at you with everything we’ve got – expect a few surprises!”
There will be plenty of laughter to go with all that volume, courtesy of the comedians performing in the ROTR Rolling Rock Comedy Tent. Expect that lineup to be announced soon.
As you might imagine, the folks at Danny Wimmer Presents are very excited about Rock On The Range.
“After our record-breaking 10 year anniversary it was high time to raise the bar and have the world’s best rock bands jump over it,” ROTR co-executive producer for Danny Wimmer Presents Gary Spivack said. “We couldn’t be more honored to have Metallica and Soundgarden at Rock On The Range! But why stop there? To have bands such as Korn, Volbeat, Primus, Papa Roach, The Offspring and so many more truly makes this year’s ROTR our best one yet. May 19-21 can’t come soon enough.”
Rock On The Range’s message to fans is “buy early and save.” Several ticket choices, including weekend field, new weekend field VIP, weekend stadium and weekend stadium four-packs are on sale now. There are a limited number of tickets for each option and once those sell out the prices will advance to the next level. If you’re thinking you have plenty of time to snag your tickets, the 2016 Rock On The Range sold out more than two months in advance.
