Red Hot Chili Peppers Rocking North America

After interrupting its European trek to perform at the Rams’ first home game in decades, Red Hot Chili Peppers has announced its plans to traverse North America with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue for the first three months of 2017.

The Chili Peppers are in Europe until Dec. 20-21, when they say goodbye to the continent in Dublin with a two-night stand. Two weeks later the group will begin a run on its home continent in San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 5. The last date scheduled right now is in Vancouver, March 18.

Madison Square Garden in New York, and  in Los Angeles so be ready to enter a miniature city to see the boys on stage.

In addition to Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, the dates from Jan. 5 to Jan. 21 include Jack Irons.

The LA natives put their run through Europe on hold to play at the Rams first home game since 1994 yesterday, Sept. 18, at . Describing why the event was important to the band, bassist Michael “Flea” Balzary said in a statement “since I was a little boy, I’ve taken joy in the beauty of the Rams. When I moved to Los Angeles in 1972, I was getting uprooted from my home and I thought, ‘Well, where I’m going they’ve got the Rams. It’s going to be all right.’”

The group was also announced as a headline act for  2017 last week. The group released its 11th album in June and it provides more of the Chili Peppers sound that fans have come to expect over the last 30-plus years the band has been around.

This Chili Peppers lineup features founders Anthony Kiedis and Flea alongside drummer Chad Smith, who has been with the band for classic albums like Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication, and By The Way.

The group has been through many guitarists over the years, but the band’s most iconic songs featured John Frusciante, who also played on the previously mentioned albums. Since 2009 though, the lineup has featured  on guitar, and he is coming along for this run.

Registered members of the RHCP Community can grab presale tickets for Los Angeles show Sept. 20 at noon and Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. local times for the rest. Registration is free.

The general onsale starts Sept. 23. Dallas, Tulsa, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Toronto, Buffalo, Philadelphia and Los Angeles go on sale at noon local time. The rest will be available at 10 a.m. local times.
