Johan Duncanson and Martin Carlberg formed the core of The Radio Dept. from another incarnation in 1998, according to the official bio. Later, the group added other members, including keyboardist Daniel Tjäder to the ensemble, and it currently describes itself as a three-piece.
When asked to describe the experience of performing live, Duncan said in an interview that the group still struggles with getting comfortable onstage.
