Cole Swindell Heading Down Home

Country hitmaker Cole Swindell is returning to many of the same clubs he used to play while rising to prominence for his “Down Home Tour” this fall. Supporting the singer will be Cole TaylorTravis Denning and Jon Langston.

The run kicks off Oct. 26 at  in Tulsa, Okla., and continues until Dec. 16, where the last show is currently scheduled at the Blind Horse Saloon in Greenville, S.C.

Swindell is currently touring with Florida Georgia Line on its “Dig Your Roots” tour, which continues until Oct. 22, just four days before his own headline tour opens.

“I can’t wait for my Down Home Tour this year, and am really excited to partner with CMT this time,” Swindell said in a press release. “The fans in these cities and towns have been behind me since I first played in these clubs – supporting me in every way … I have always looked at this tour as a way to get back ‘Down Home’ where they  gave me my start, just to say thank you.”

This is the third year he is doing the “Down Home” tour and he is releasing an EP, Down Home Sessions III Oct. 28, a few days after the headline tour launches.

A new music video for Swindell’s single “Middle of a Memory” is premiering on “CMT Hot 20” on Aug. 20 at 9 a.m. EDT, 8 a.m. CDT.

The support schedule is pretty evenly split. Eight shows are with Cole Taylor and Travis Denning Oct. 26-29, Nov. 17-18 and Dec. 10-16. Nine shows are with Jon Langston Nov. 4-12 and Nov. 25-Dec. 9.

An accomplished songwriter, Swindell has not only penned No. 1 country singles for himself, but he has also written for Thomas Rhett
