Classic Dokken Lineup Reunites
The six-date trip to Japan – “Unleashed In The East” – begins Oct. 5 in Osaka and wraps Oct. 12 in Tokyo. Dokken has previously announced U.S. performances lined up, including a few nights in California in August, but Lynch and Pilson will not appear on those dates.
An announcement from Dokken notes that the Japan excursion “will be the one and only opportunity” for fans to see the classic lineup showing off hits like “Alone Again,” “In My Dreams” and “Burning Like A Flame.”
Pilson played in Dokken from 1983 to 2001 (excluding the band’s 1989-1993 hiatus). The multi-instrumentalist has worked with a number of acts over the years, including Dio and War and Peace, in addition to his production work and acting. He’s been the bassist for Foreigner since 2004.
Lynch joined Dokken in 1980 and left the lineup in 1997. Since then he’s continued working with Lynch Mob and concentrated on his own solo career. Last year he released two albums – Lynch mob’s Rebel and the solo LP Shadow Train.
“I am very excited to come back to Japan and play with the members of Dokken that I spent so much time with,” Don Dokken says. “Being that it’s only six shows, we are going to make [it] as spectacular as possible.”
